Barley Flakes Chivda

Barley Flakes Chivda
  • Barley Flakes - 2 cups
  • Oil - 3 tsp 
  • Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp 
  • Cumin seeds ...1/2 tsp 
  •  Hing/Asafoetida..2 pinch 
  • Green chilles chopped - 2 
  • Dry Red Chilly ...2 broken  
  • Curry leaves- 2 sprigs
  • Groundnuts- 3 tsp 
  • Cashewnuts - a few 
  • Puttani/ Roasted gram - 3 tsp 
  • Dry Roasted White Sesame seeds ..1 tsp 
  • Turmeric powder-1/4 th tsp
  •  Coriander Powder..1 tsp 
  • Salt to taste  
Method In a kadai add oil n  Mustard seeds once sputters , add cumin seeds n allow it to swell ,add hing,  chopped green chilles, dry red chilly broken , curry leaves,  groundnuts,Roasted gram n fry for few minutes n then add roasted white sesame seeds, turmeric powder ,coriander powder n salt  .. fry for a minute .Add barley flakes n fry till crisp . 

Cool n store in air tight container .
